Van Driver

Salary : Dependent on experience
 

Arena is looking for a self-starting individual who is able to provide a key support role to the business as a Van Driver.

Arena’s Van Drivers are responsible for transporting equipment to and from outside broadcast venues, suppliers, and manufacturers as necessary. They are ambassadors for Arena Television wherever they go.

When at an outside broadcast venue, drivers will be required to liaise with Arena’s Unit Managers and Engineers, to ensure the successful delivery or collection of equipment. Due to the nature of our business a flexible approach is key, as the hours can be irregular and unpredictable and we will require Van Drivers to cover weekends on a rota basis. The company does provide added incentives to work at weekends and out of office hours.

 

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will need to be a flexible team member, who will provide essential local and national support to our day to day operations and logistics.

Skills and Competencies:

Essential:

​

• Applicants must be 21 years or older due to Insurance restrictions on the Vans

• Valid Driving Licence

• Confidence to drive a 3.5 to vehicle (Van).

• Good working knowledge of technology (Sat Nav, Smart phone, Computer etc.)

• Confidence with vehicle maintenance.

• Willingness to learn about the equipment we use.

• Interest in outside broadcast.

• Enthusiastic.

• Self-motivated.

• Good inter-personal skills.

• Organised.

• Confidence to work alone or as part of a team.

• Problem-solving skills.

• “can-do” attitude.

Desired:
